Mga higala! 16 new COVID-19 cases were reported today, September 23, 2020, in Cagayan de Oro City!
All of these are local cases. 6 are index cases and 10 are close contacts of previous cases. There are also 2 new recorded deaths.
This brings the cumulative cases in the city to 614, with 305 total local cases and 309 locally stranded individuals (LSIs) and returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs).

- onset of fever and cough on Sept 13-18

600th. 20-year-old female, local case, resident of Brgy. Upper Balulang

- stayed and swabbed in Bukidnon due to onset of fever and colds on Sept 15
601st. 49-year-old male, local case
- a family driver of the 572nd case from Upper Balulang
- for transfer to a TTMF
602nd. daughter of the 572nd case, resident of a gated community in Upper Balulang
- also for transfer to a TTMF
603rd. 36-year-old male, local/APOR, resident of Brgy. Nazareth
- a health care worker at Lanao del Sur and exposed to case 393 (his wife)
- for transfer to a TTMF
604th. 67-year-old male, local case, resident of a gated subdivision in Upper Carmen
- complained of joint pains and fever; seek consultation at NMMC and was swabbed
- 2 household contacts identified
605th. 26-year-old male, local case, resident of Brgy. Lapasan
- -swabbed on Sept 20 due to fever and body weakness
- 11 close contacts identified; expanded contact tracing on-going
606th. 71-year-old male, local case, resident of Brgy. Carmen
- onset of symptoms due to fracture and admitted to JR Borja General Hospital
- expired at JRBGH and cremated at the same day
- 3 direct contacts identified
607th. 57-year-old male, local case, resident of Brgy. Patag
- admitted at JR Borja General Hospital due to shortness of breathing
- expired on Sept 21; cremated the same day
608th. 59-year-old male, local case, resident of gated community in Gusa
- currently admitted in a private hospital
- onset of cough on Sept 11 and exposed to 568 (who also died)
609th. 34-year-old male, local case, resident of Brgy. Bayabas
- experienced fever on Sept 10
- admitted in a private hospital

- exposed to case #457 (husband)
- a retired health care worker
