Mga higala! 30 new COVID-19 cases were reported today, September 10, 2020, in Cagayan de Oro City!

19 of these are local cases, 14 of which are close contacts of other previously reported local cases while only 5 are index cases. The other 11 are locally stranded individuals (LSIs) and returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs).

• a government employee
• had travel history at Misamis Occidental
• returned to CDO on August 28 via private vehicle
• experienced symptoms last August 31; still reported to work
• identified 42 close contacts for risk assessment; 5 household members for extraction; 14 relatives and guest; 2 close friends; 21 workplace contacts

421st. 46-year-oldfemale, local/APOR,  resident of Brgy. 26

• had close contact with CDO’s 331st case
• developed signs and symptoms on August 28
• now in a city isolation unit
• swab results came back positive on September 9
• further contact tracing ongoing

422nd. 65 -year-old male, local case,  resident of a gated community in Brgy.Iponan

• was swabbed as a requirement for international travel
• 1^st swabbed last September 1; negative
• re-swabbed on September 7; swab results came back positive on September 9
• had already traveled to Cebu before the release of results
• extraction of close contacts is ongoing

423rd. 34-year-old female, local case,  resident of Brgy. Iponan

• daughter of CDO’s 422^ndcase
• 1^st swabbed last September 1; negative
• re-swabbed on September 7; swab results came back positive on September 9
• had already traveled to Cebu before the release of results
• extraction of close contacts is ongoing

424th. 66-year-old male local case,  resident of a gated community in Brgy.Gusa

• had head and back injury secondary to vehicular incident on August 29
• transferred to a private hospital
• manifested cough on August 30
• swabbed in a private hospital last September 1; negative
• developed seizure and shortness of breath on September 8; transferred to ICU
• re-swabbed on September 9: positive
• for transfer to NMMC

• had cough and shortness of breath on September 4
• admitted at JRBGH on September 6
• swab results came back positive on September 9

• a healthcare worker
• had close contact with CDO’s 370^thcase
• had sore throat on August 31
• swab results came back positive on September 9
• now in the city’s temporary treatment and monitoring facility (TTMF)

427th. 28-year-old male local/APOR

• a healthcare worker
• had close contact with CDO’s 344^thcase
• last date of exposure was September 10, 2020
• developed colds on September 6
