01 Jul After P984 Million & Over 15 Years: The Cagayan de Oro City International Convention Center Now @ 88%
Mga higala! The renovations for the unutilized Cagayan de Oro City International Convention Center, a pet project of ex-Senator Nene Pimentel in Brgy. Indahag, is now at 88% according to DPWH.
ICYDK, this was built in 2003 and was delayed for over 15 years due to various issues. As of now, the government has spent an estimated P984 million for this convention center.

When finished, the Cagayan de Oro City International Convention Center will have a multi-purpose hall that can accommodate over 1,000 guests, a convertible indoor playing court, an exhibit area for 1,500 viewing guests, 12 function rooms for 1,000 guests, 4 club rooms with lockers and showers, a cafeteria with approximately 100 seating capacity, a storage room, offices, and other support facilities.
The project was visited yesterday by Pimentel together with CDO’s newly elected officials, guests, and the media, after the Inaugural Ceremony in Divisoria.
Moreover, Mayor Oscar Moreno has vowed to ensure the completion of the project before the end of his term.
