Through the “Hatid Tulong Initiative” of the national government, an additional 300 locally stranded individuals (LSIs) were recently welcomed by the local city government of Cagayan de Oro.

Upon arriving in the city, the LSIs were sent to the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) holding area and then received by the Humanitarian Task Group, the Emergency Operations Center’s Health Task Group, and the Incident Management Team.

The transfer of the LSIs was done successfully by the coordination of the LGU-CDO, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Office of Civil Defense, and the Presidential Management Staff.
