Cagayan de Oro Groundbreaks First-Ever Housing Project For Over 500 City Hall Employees

Mga higala! A groundbreaking ceremony for the first City Hall Employees Socialized Housing Project located at Sitio Patpat, Barangay Lumbia, was held yesterday, October 22, led by Mayor Oscar Moreno!

The project will cover an area of 10.6 hectares and will provide more than 500 housing units for City Hall employees. It will be developed by the City Housing and Urban Development Department (CHUDD) through Pag-IBIG financing.

“Dako kaayo akong pasalamat nga nahimo kani siya nga programa sa City Hall Employee Socialized Housing Project. Ako nangandoy gyud ko nga naa ko’y kaugalingon nga balay kay gapuyo ko diha sa Acacia Street. Subo pamalandungon nga nabanlas among balay sa trahedya nga Sendong,” said Ana Ocer, one of the beneficiaries, who has been working at the City Hall for over 26 years.

The groundbreaking was attended by City Councilors Edna Dahino, Roger Abaday, Suzette Magtajas-Daba, Maria Lourdes Gaane, Edgar Cabanlas, and Teodulfo Lao, officials of Housing & Land Use Regulatory Board, Pag-Ibig Fund, Developers, CHUDD, barangay officials, City Hall department heads, HOAs and other stakeholders.
