Archdiocese Of Cagayan de Oro Announces “No Public Mass” This Holy Week

Mga higala! The Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro has announced that there will be no public masses this HOLY WEEK, in order to follow the city’s social distancing guidelines against COVID-19!

Kagay-anons are instead encouraged to stay at home and watch or listen to the mass on TV, Facebook Live, and radio stations.

According to the guidelines of Archbishop Ledesma, priests in the city have the option to join the liturgy at the St. Augustine Metropolitan Cathedral, in the following celebrations:

  • Palm Sunday- 7:00 am
  • Holy Thursday- 6:00 pm
  • Good Friday- 3:00 pm
  • Holy Saturday (Easter Vigil)- 6:00 pm

These celebrations are strictly without a congregation, and only the priests, choir of 4 members, readers, servers, and media technicians will be present.
