22 Nov Cagayan De Oro Pride Is The Newest Asian Boxing Federation Flyweight Champion

In an article posted by Cagayan de Oro News Bulletin, a boxer from Cagayan de Oro City was recognized as the new Flyweight Champion of the Asian Boxing Federation (ABF).
The New King of ABF Flyweight Division is Jeronil Borres of Sta. Cruz Barangay Lumbia.
He defeated the former IBF Youth World Champion Robert Onggocan from Dapitan City during the recent 55th Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation Convention in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
The City Government of Cagayan de Oro personally thanked him for the honor he brought to the city by inviting him together with his coach, the former World Boxing Champion Rene Barrientos in the flag raising ceremony held at the City Hall last Monday, November 20.
Moreover, Borres was very grateful for the help and support of the administration in achieving his triumph, especially because he’s one of the products of the Amateur Boxing Development Program by the City Government of Cagayan de Oro.
