01 Oct Cagayan de Oro Enforces Temporary Total Ban Of All Hogs & Pork Products From Luzon & Other Areas Affected By African Swine Fever

MGa higala! Cagayan de Oro City is now enforcing a TEMPORARY TOTAL BAN on the entry of all hogs and PORK PRODUCTS coming from Luzon and other areas in the country or abroad, that are confirmed to be affected by the African Swine Fever virus!

With this, the following (and more) are banned from entering the city:

1. LIVE HOGS
2. PORK MEAT
3. FROZEN BOAR SEMEN
4. CANNED GOODS with PORK MEAT
5. OTHER PROCESSED PORK MEAT (pork longganisa, ham, hotdogs, sausage, etc.)
6. PORK SIOPAO and PORK SIOMAI

But, since CDO wasn’t affected by the said virus, we can still eat, buy, or sell, LOCAL PORK PRODUCTS as long it’s from the meat of hogs raised inside the city’s borders.
