06 Apr Camiguin Records 1st Confirmed Case of COVID-19, Imposes Strict Health Protocols
Last Saturday, April 4, 2020, the provincial government of Camiguin imposed strict health protocols after a 32-year-old female from Mahinog town tested positive for COVID-19. It’s the very first case in the said island province since the global breakout of coronavirus.
The report was announced to the patient by Governor Jurdin Jesus Romualdo and was confirmed on Sunday, April 6, 2020, by the director of the Department of Health (DOH) in Region 10, Dr. Adriano Subaan.
The patient was said to have contracted the virus when she went to Manila for a conference 3 weeks ago, with the invited resource speaker tested positive for COVID-19.
