Mga higala! In a recent video posted by a netizen, some residents can be seen swimming in a canal located in an area in Brgy. Macabalan, Cagayan de Oro City, with supposedly clear waters!
This specific canal is usually flooded with seawater during high tides.

In response to a report about this, the barangay has issued a warning saying that swimming in the said canal is strictly prohibited since it’s not clean and the water may contain bacteria that can cause skin irritation.
Moreover, gatherings or activities like this are not allowed under the MECQ status of the city.
