29 Dec Caritas Philippines Raising P5.8M To Help The Victims Of Tropical Storm Vinta
In an article posted by Inquirer.net, the social action arm of the Catholic Church- Caritas Philippines or the National Secretariat for Social Action (NASSA) is encouraging devotees to help in raising an amount of P5.8 million for the victims of Bagyong Vinta in Mindanao.
The announcement was stated last Wednesday over Church-run Radio Veritas to request the public to give donations voluntarily to the 3,000 affected families or 15,000 persons severely affected by the devastation of Vinta.
Caritas and NASSA also launched ‘Alay Kapwa Program’ an online solidarity donation campaign to gather additional funds.
The donations gathered will be used to purchase food packs, hygiene kits, and also to develop the affected areas.
For donations, anyone can deposit on NASSA/Caritas Philippines’ Alay Kapwa account, account number 4951-0071-08 and account name: CBCP Caritas Filipinas Foundation Inc. at Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI).
