18 May 1,140 Catridges For COVID-19 Testing Equipment Now @ NMMC: Testing To Start This Week
Mga higala! Despite the recent weather conditions, the Philippine Air Force (PAF) has successfully delivered around 1,140 cartridges for the GeneXpert machine of the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC), which will be used for COVID-19 testing operations!
The said cartridges are from the Department of Health (DOH) and arrived at the hospital yesterday, May 17, 2020.
With this, our region will now have the capability to directly test the swab samples from suspected COVID-19 patients, without relying on laboratories outside Northern Mindanao.
Testing will start by Wednesday or Thursday this week, according to Dr. Bernard Rocha in today’s press briefing.
