02 May Cagayan de Oro Archdiocese spearheads ‘Walk for Life’
On an article posted by Sunstar.com, the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro City spearheaded its 6th annual ‘Walk for Life’ last April 29, 2017 around some of the city’s major streets.
The event was held simultaneously with the annual Multisectoral and Interfaith Prayer Mobilization and was participated in by individuals from the different sectors of the community like civic organizations, parishes, and barangays in the city.
Starting 8 in the morning, the march began at the capitol grounds and stopped at Gaston Park for a short program, marking the end of its activities for this year.
Aside from its culminating activity, the event had two other activities on Holy Tuesday and Good Friday which focused on catechisms against some of the biggest issues of the country such as death penalty, mining, casinos among others which negatively affect the values of Filipino culture.
Every year, the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro has different themes for the event according to the different issues that the country is facing nowadays.
This year, the theme is titled “SUSIHON-TUGKARON-BUHATON-SAULOGON”
