22 May The CDeO Boxing Program: Ushering local boxing champions

The City Government’s boxing program at Divisoria which is being handled boxing promoter Barangay 6 Chairman Mario Eronico has become an avenue for aspiring athletes in Cagayan de Oro City to rise in their field.
Essentially, boxers who will be discovered in local boxing matches will be enrolled in the amateur boxing program of the City Government.
In an aim to produce more olympians, the program started when Mayor Oscar Moreno in his tenure as a governor in Misamis Oriental.
Some boxing champions produced by the boxing program were the Pagara brothers and many more.
As of this moment, there are several boxers from the program who recently became a part of the national boxing pool of Association of Boxing Alliances in the Philippines (ABAP). –CDOinfonet Group
