19 May CdeO hailed as one of Philippines’ emerging tourist destinations
The Philippine Embassy in the United States will be holding its 11th Ambassador’s Tour at different ‘emerging tourist destinations’ in the Philippines including Cagayan de Oro City on July 11-16 2017.
In an article from Inquirer.net, Zeny Pallugna, officer-in-charge of the Philippine Department of Tourism in New York (PDOT-NY), the tour will be participated by tourists who will get the chance to visit the emerging tourism destinations of the country such as Davao, Camiguin, Dumaguete, Siquijor, Manila, and Cagayan de Oro identified as affordable travel destinations in the country.
One of the goals of the activity is to promote Philippine tourism among its participants and to create more employment opportunities to Filipinos.
The tour will also be anchored on the foreseen ambassadorship of the Filipino-American participants with the experiences and learnings that they will gather in their summer holiday in the country. They will also receive a VIP treatment with guided tours and high-quality accommodations during the 5-days activity.
The 11th Ambassador’s Tour is a combined effort of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Tourism and Tourism Promotion Board, the Philippine Foreign Service Posts in the United States, and Rajah Tours.
