In an article posted by Cagayan de Oro News Bulletin, a mandatory drug test will soon be implemented to be followed by City Hall employees and Barangay Officers following the finalization of the City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) funds.

In a meeting last Friday (September 8), the CADAC Chairman Romeo Calizo said the government must allocate some funds for the mandatory drug testing since this was ordered by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) to all local government units (LGUs).

CADAC was grateful to the Chairman of the Committee on Finance and Appropriation Kagawad Edna Dahino for the support and assistance to fast track the release of the P1.2 million funds needed for the mandate.

Calizo added that the random mandatory drug testing should be initiated by all officers and employees of City Hall and in barangay officials on October 1, 2017, as a compliance to the Dangerous Drugs Board’s drug-free workplace program.
