27 Jun CdeO youth organization mobilizes relief op for Marawi IDPs
In an article from Sunstar.com, the relief effort will be conducted every Saturdays of July and IDPs will be receiving relief goods composed of water, food, blankets, and other basic necessities.
The MYC head of the committee for the relief effort, Aliyah Lyka Yamot, said that their organization is still setting up the means on how they would reach out to the IDPs and are willing to visit them wherever they are located in the city.
She also said that their donors from the different parts of CdeO and throughout the country have been so far responsive and supportive to their cause.
She added that the relief effort is part of their beliefs as followers of the Muslim denomination and lending a helping hand to other members of their faith does not necessarily follow any commendation or applause.
The organization is still accepting donations from any individual who has the heart to help those who are affected by the Marawi siege and can drop their donations at different Masjids located throughout the city.
MYC consists of 13 Muslim groups in CdeO and are mostly Muslim youths from different educational institutions.
