21 Nov CDO Bagged the Best in Digital Finance Award at the 6th Awards for Excellence in ICT
Before the year ends Cagayan de Oro City achieved another milestone after being awarded as the city government that is Best in Digital Finance.
The award was given last November 17 during the 6th Awards For Excellence In ICT for Good Governance for Local Government Units otherwise known as the “eGov Awards”.

The city boasts its Internet Online Services (iOS) as its entry for the Best in eGov Digital Finance Empowerment (P2G), And in order to become the best among the rest the city must promote e-commerce or e-payment facilities and systems.
In a statement released by NICP eGov Awards, Cagayan de Oro’s Internet Online Services (iOS) consists of the City Finance Office’s innovative feature that incorporate tax payment and billing through online and electronic means, allowing taxpayers to pay their fees anywhere and anytime whenever there is internet connection is the reason why the city bagged the award.
Among of the awardees of the same category are the Municipality of Cavinti, Laguna and Municipality of Silang, Cavite.
