02 Sep CDO Barangay Councilor Suspected Drug Supplier in Barangay 31 Arrested in Villa Candida

PDEA agent Ben Calibre disclosed that they were able to nab Barangay 31 Councilor Fatima Dumpi through a search warrant while she was at her other residence in Villa Candida Subdivision, Barangay Bulua, Cagayan de Oro. The barangay councilor was said to be the supplier of illegal drugs in Barangay 31.
Dumpi was arrested together with Rey Saculingan as commanded by RTC Branch 24 Presiding Judge Henry Damasing.
According to Calibre, seized from the suspects were 9 sachets of suspected shabu estimated to amount to P50,000, drug paraphernalia and a vehicle.
Dumpi denied that she owns the illegal drugs seized by the authorities and that she has no involvement in the illegal drug trade in the city, however, PDEA-10 have heavy evidence to show to the court against Dumpi.
Calibre also disclosed that Dumpi is the notorious drug dealer that runs the drug trade activity in the said barangay, and also the drug protector of small drug pushers and users, still in the said barangay.
Barangay 31 has been known to be a drug den among shabu dealers and addicts.
Meanwhile, Barangay Chairwoman Delia Wabe was tongue tied and surprised after she was confronted regarding the arrest of her councilor who was involved in illegal drug trade. Wabe then said that Dumpi seldom visits their barangay.
