Cagayan de Oro’s young boxers showed their prowess by winning gold medals in boxing at the 2016 Batang Pinoy Championships in Davao City.
Taking home the gold were light pinweight John Vincent Pangga, junior light flyweight Marco John Rementizo, as well as lady boxers Gina Casin (48kg), Marty Ann Laug (38kg) and Rowan Kapawan (57kg).
General Santos, the hometown of Manny Pacquiao, bagged gold medal as well through pinweight Criz Russu Laurente, light bantam RV Denega and women boxers Angela Bianca Laurente (54kg) and Roxan Kapawan (57kg).
