24 Nov CDO Councilor: ‘What is urgent and important now is to solve traffic woe’
Cagayan de Oro City Council addresses on how to solve the worsening traffic congestion in the city.
According to a report from Philippine Information Agency, the city should start on projects and programs that will help solve the traffic woes happening in the city, said Councilor Edna “Inday” Dahino.
The problem was raised during the discussions on the proposed Annual Investment Plan (AIP) of the city for 2017 held by the committees on finance, budget and appropriations and on public works chaired by Councilors Dahino and Zaldy Ocon.
As of now, there are still no project and programs in the AIP that could solve the traffic problem, according to Councilor Dahino.
The city can source out funds to execute measures that will clear up the traffic problem as this is a critical concern.
She emphasized that if the city could borrow more to make a diversion road or a flyover, why not, adding that it is urgent and important to act now to solve the worsening traffic problem.
