12 Jan CDO Councilor Questions RTA’s No Right Turn On Red Light Policy
Mga higala! Councilor Ian Mark Nacaya is now asking the Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA) of Cagayan de Oro City to shed light on their controversial NO RIGHT TURN ON RED LIGHT policy!
ICYDK, the said policy has allegedly been causing havoc and has worsened traffic conditions all over the city.
This has also caused more disagreements between motorists and traffic enforcers.
In their recent session, Nacaya stressed that the policy is not supported by an ordinance of the City Council. And, even though the RTA has the right to impose certain rules, it should only be in regulated areas and must still be based on the council’s ordinances.
Nacaya then added that free right turning with caution is even observed in international traffic regulations and that RTA’s no right turn restriction is now causing more road congestion rather than easing traffic flow.
Naka-bantay ba ka ani nga policy lately higala? Unsa imong na-experience?
