CDO Eyes Criminal Charges Against Jail Officer Who Brandished Gun At COVID-19 Medical Personnel

Mga higala! The Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) and the City Legal Office is now considering possible criminal and administrative charges against a jail officer who allegedly brandished a gun at 3 medical personnel, in a COVID-19 isolation area last September 13, 2020!

ICYMI, the jail officer and several others were complaining about the delay in their test results prior to the incident.

The medical personnel then reported the incident at the nearest police station.

“Both the city police and the City Legal Officer will look into the case and affidavits will be required from the medical personnel. As I said we will not let this incident pass, we cannot take this abuse of power sitting down,” said Mayor Oscar Moreno in yesterday’s press briefing.
