23 Jun CDO Farmers, Fisherfolk, and Small Businesses Earned P5.9 Million Through “Kadiwa at Diskwento Karavan”
Since the start of the “Kadiwa at Diskwento Karavan” last April 24, 2020, participating farmers, fisherfolk, and small businesses were able to earn around P5.9 million with their fresh produce!
The said program aims at decongesting the existing public markets in the city as an effort to lessen the risks of getting infected with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). It helps to better implement the city government’s campaign for people to observe physical distancing.
Consumers in the city can avail of fresh agricultural products such as eggs, meat, root crops, spices, and vegetables, as well as processed foods and more.
So far, the Kadiwa caravan has been to 24 communities in the city.
