28 Mar CDO Government to Relocate 60 Families Ahead of Demolition

In a news by Sun Star, Cagayan de Oro City Government will relocate 60 of the 69 affected families of barangay 36 to the Calaanan relocation site. This after the court ordered a demolition on Friday, March 31.
City Administrator Dionnie Gersana said that the City Government will provide each family a lot and not a housing unit. He added that the city will only assist these families in building their houses and will be provided with food packs for their first days in the area.
It can be recalled that the demolition was supposedly scheduled last year, but was postponed upon the requests of the residents.
Meanwhile, 176 families from Barangay 31 will wait for the resolution from the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board and the National Housing Authority, if they can buy the lot instead of moving to another area.
