12 May CDO Gov’t Limits Duration Of Wake & Number Of Persons During Burial Amid COVID-19 Surge
Mga higala! The city government has issued an advisory limiting the duration of wakes and the number of persons during a burial, in funeral and burial establishments in Cagayan de Oro City!
This is due to the recent spike of COVID-19 cases in the city.
According to the said advisory, which was signed by Engr. Armen Cuenca of the Management of the Dead and City Mayor Oscar Moreno, below are the new limitations:
- Wake (Vigil): must be held for a maximum of 3 days.
- Burial: only up to 20 persons must attend during a burial ceremony. This number should include the religious minister.
