05 Aug CDO Installs P2 Million Worth Of CCTV Cameras In Cogon Market
Mga higala! The Cagayan de Oro government has now installed high-end CCTVs or closed-circuit television cameras, worth at around 2 million pesos, all over the Cogon Public Market, one of the busiest areas in the city.
According to a report by Sunstar CDO, these 48 security cameras are connected via state-of-the-art fiber optic cables, and can pan around, tilt, and has the ability to zoom to an object that’s up to 1 kilometer away.
The high-end CCTVs are scheduled to be operational this September 2019.
ICYDK, in 2017, a traffic enforcer was shot dead while manning traffic at Cogon Market. And, this kind of security measure could have helped in catching his murderer.
