26 Feb CDO Local and Provincial Gov’t Recognized for Good Financial Housekeeping

Cagayan de Oro’s Local and Provincial Governments passed the Department of the Interior and Local Government or DILG’s annual Good Financial Housekeeping assessment for the year 2019. This assessment, which is conducted nationwide by the Bureau of Local Government Supervision, or the BLGS.
Neighboring cities that also passed the assessment are El Salvador City, Gingoog City, Iligan City, and Malaybalay City.
The Good Financial Housekeeping project recognizes local government units or LGUs that perform well in terms of managing their financial resources for much-needed areas like development planning and local legislation. Gaining the recognition for Good Financial Housekeeping is one of the rubrics for attaining the Seal of Good Local Governance, a national award for excellence in public governance.
