Modern Nanays of Mindanao is one of the finalists for the 14th Search for Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations Awards under the Health, Nutrition and Well-Being Category.
Modern Nanays of Mindanao started from a group of young moms who wants to share their discoveries about modern parenting in Cagayan de Oro City. Their project, Nanay Meet-Ups, is a Mother to-Mother support to help cope with raising a child based from experiences coupled with scientific based resources and evidence based practice relayed in laymen terms. They campaign for the use of cloth diapers, and the practice of breastfeeding and baby wearing. The group was able to connect at least 2,000 mothers to their growing network.

Final judging will be next week, February 13 and to be followed by an awarding ceremony on February 16 at Diamond Hotel, Manila.
