17 Nov 6-Hectare Lot in Barangay Canitoan Being Negotiated as New Cemetery Site
In a report by Councilor Zaldy Ocon, chairman of the committee for the urban poor, before the City Council’s regular session headed by Vice Mayor Kikang Uy last November 14, 2016, a lot was found prospected to become the site for the new cemetery in Cagayan de Oro.
It can be recalled that it was Councilor Bong Lao Jr. who suggested to find a new location where a new cemetery will be constructed after finding out that about 200,000 deceased individuals have already been buried in Bolonsori Cemetery in Barangay Camaman-an.
The said lot in Barangay Canitoan is a 6-hectare lot.
