To be held on August 27, 2016, 6:00PM at the SkiHi Cinema, Capistrano-Borja streets here in Cagayan de Oro is “sil-ip, siplat” spoken word and open mic event, the August installment of CDO Poetry Night.

Organized once in two months, the event will highlight poems, essays, stories, and plays that slam and/or celebrate gazes, glimpses, and glances from divergent intents and lenses. It will also feature regular performers from the Nagkahiusang Magsusulat sa Cagayan de Oro (NAGMAC), the organizing group, local musicians and other performing artists.

For those musicians and artists who are interested to be part of the event, send a PM to CDO Poetry Night Facebook page. The audience will also get the chance to perform during the open mic portion.

Admission is free, yet the event is a fundraiser for the spoken word album which is soon-to-be-launched. It will contain the best pieces of CDO Poetry Night 2014-16.
