09 Jul CDO Police Now Waiting For Orders Regarding The Motorcycle Backriding Of Couples
Mga higala! The Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) is now just waiting for an official order from their national headquarters before allowing the motorcycle backriding of couples in the city!
This was stated by Police Major Evan Viñas in today’s daily press briefing.
Viñas also warned the public against presenting fake documents just to prove that a driver and passenger are couples. He stressed that this is tantamount to a criminal offense.
In case you missed it, DILG Secretary Eduardo Año revealed that backriding will finally be permitted starting tomorrow, July 10, but only for married couples and live-in partners. However, their motorcycle should be equipped with a protective shield.
