04 Jul CDO Port Passenger Terminal Building, PH’s Biggest, To Be Inaugurated This July 15
Mga higala! The Cagayan de Oro Port Passenger Terminal Building (PTB), the biggest in the Philippines, will finally be inaugurated this coming July 15, 2019!
This was recently announced by the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA).
The new Passenger Terminal Building is now at 96% and is a two-story structure that can accommodate 1,176 passengers on its ground floor and 1,221 passengers on its second floor.
Moreover, this PTB also has various facilities and amenities that can cater to the safety and comfort of sea passengers:
- security checkpoints with X-ray scanners for luggage, body scanners, and security cameras
- passenger boarding stations
- assistance desks
- designated green areas
- play area for children and childcare station
“The construction of this brand new building will greatly strengthen the region as the global gateway to Mindanao. Once we inaugurate this on July 15, we are opening Cagayan De Oro to the nation and to the rest of the world as we pursue progress for our seaports,” said PPA General Manager Jay Santiago.
