CDO Gov’t Receives Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance Award For The 3rd Time

Mga higala! The Cagayan de Oro City Government has received the Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance Award for 2018, making it the city’s 3rd time to be recognized as a child-friendly municipality by the Council for the Welfare of Children.

Cagayan de Oro’s child-friendly performance rating was 37% in 2016 and was increased to 44% for the year 2017.

City Administrator Sabuga-a said that they are now successful in various projects for children in conflict with the law and its nutrition program. But, the city still has to strive more in reducing the current child mortality rate.

Sabuga-a together with other city officials proudly presented the Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance Award to the members of the City Council for the Protection of Children during yesterday’s flag-raising ceremony at the city hall. See pictures below:
