09 Jan CDRRMD Receives New High-Tech Rescue Equipment
Yesterday, January 8, the CDRRMD received new hydraulic equipment which can be used in various rescue operations.
The state-of-the-art hydraulic rescue equipment was formally presented and turned-over by the Mr. Eldie Daayata, an officer in charge of City General Services Office to the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department headed by Allan Porcadilla, Ret Col Mario Verner Monsanto, CDRRMD overseer, and new City Administrator Teodoro Sabuga-a.
The event was held during the weekly convocation at City Hall grounds.
According to Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) Chief- Nick Jabagat, the new equipment will be used by USAR for victim extractions in vehicular accidents, building collapse, landslide, etc.
Jabagat also added that this equipment, which cost millions are considered the best. Not only in the Philippines but in the whole world and are used by rescuers in America and Canada.
