14 Jun Cebu Province Implements Optional Wearing Of Face Masks
Mga higala! The province of Cebu is now implementing a law that makes the wearing of FACE MASKS optional when outdoors!
This after the Provincial Board unanimously approved the ordinance adopting the controversial Executive Order No. 16 of Governor Gwen Garcia.
With this law, the public is no longer required to wear face masks if they are outdoors or in well-ventilated and open spaces.
(Those who are unwell or are manifesting COVID-19 symptoms are exempted from this privilege.)
However, the Philippine National Police (PNP) released a statement earlier this month saying that they will still be enforcing the mandatory wearing of face masks, in accordance with the clear directive of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
