LOOK: First-ever Centenarian Of Kalilangan, Bukidnon Receives P270,000

Mga higala! Brigido Galendez Acapulco Sr. (aka Tatay Birog) was awarded with a total of P270,000 as the first-ever centenarian of Kalilangan, Bukidnon!

Tatay Birog received a cash gift of P100,000 under the Philippines’ “Centenarians Act of 2016”, together with the combined amount of P170,000 from Mayor Omaradji Pizarro, Sen. Migs Zubiri, Gov. Jose Ma. Zubiri, Cong. Manuel Zubiri, and from the League of Mayors of the province.

According to DSWD Region X, he was the first barangay captain of Canituan, Kalilangan, Bukidnon. He served voluntarily as the captain during his time, when salaries, allowances, nor honorarium were still not available for those who run in office. He served as the barangay captain for 20 long years — and he never asked anything in return.

Tatay Birog is very grateful for the gift given to him by the government. He wishes that continued-blessings will be given to him and his family.
