01 Oct Notice to All CEPALCO Customers: 12-Hour Power Interruption on October 2
The Cagayan Electric Power and Light Company, Inc. (Cepalco) announced that there will be a 12-hour power interruption on October 2, Sunday.
The blackout will affect in some areas as the distribution utility will facilitate line maintenance of its 34.5KV line along CM Recto Avenue from Mindanao University of Science and Technology (Must) to Osmeña street.
The outage will commence at 6 a.m. and will last until 6 p.m.
The blackout will affect the areas of Metro Bank and Bajolo Building corner Agora, corner Corrales Avenue covering Barangay 26, China Bank, Shakey’s, MUST, Red Planet, One Avenue, Magnum Radio, Metz Arcade, Knights of Columbus, Centrio Ayala Mall, Nazareno Church, and along Osmeña Extension to Doña Emeteria Commercial Building up to Blu Energy Gas station.
Osmeña St. from corner CM Recto to Cogon up to Corner Hayes St., JR Borja St. and Yacapin St. bounded by Capt. V. Roa and Roxas Sts, a portion of Limketkai Drive from Osmeña St to LKKS-Shell including Pearlmont and Conchita Hotels, Mallberry Suites Hotel and Discovery Hotel are also affected.
Additional 1 hour and 30 minutes power switching will be executed from 6 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Areas in Camaman-an including Manto to San Jose and St. Vianney Seminaries, a greater area in Camaman-an proper towards Bontong, Bolonsori up to Upper Camaman-an, Ayesa Subdivision including Tipolohon, and a small area in Sta. Cruz 1, Lapasan along Camaman-an road are also affected.
Cepalco stated that it will bring back the power immediately even earlier than the scheduled time when the line and switching operations are done.
