12 Dec Brgy. Chairman’s Nephew Arrested in Brgy. Bayabas on a drug case
Operatives from Criminal Investigation and Detection Group(CIDG)-Cagayan de Oro nabbed the nephew of Eddie Abrogar, Bayabas barangay chairman.
According to a report from Sun.Star, the drug suspect identified as Ivan Levan Rhay Abrogar was apprehended in his residence at Zone 2, Bayabas, Cagayan de Oro City on December 9, Friday morning. It was said that he was arrested for his alleged involvement in illegal drug activities.
CIDG-Cagayan de Oro operatives were urged to seize Abrogar as they already receive two arrest warrants dated November 29 and was signed by Judge Arthur Abudiente of the Regional Trial Court Branch 25.
The suspect’s parents tried to defend their son saying that they were arresting the wrong person, said Senior Police Officer (SPO) 4 Noel Oclarit, City Executive Senior Police Officer of CIDG-Cagayan de Oro.
The warrant is inscribed only to a nickname “Ban-ban” but based on the confirmation done by the police officers earlier to the raid, they have definitely identified the drug suspect, Oclarit added.
The suspect was brought to the court and was transferred to the city jail located in Barangay Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro City.
