Mga higala! Military checkpoints in Mindanao will still be continued, even after President Rodrigo Duterte’s decision to lift the MARTIAL LAW this December 31, 2019.

According to reports, the military will not put their guards down despite the improved security situation and they will also continue to hunt down members of Islamic-inspired groups.

In case you don’t know, the president’s decision to lift martial law in Mindanao is “based on the assumption of security forces as well as the defense advisers that the terrorist and extremist rebellion have been weakened as a result of the capture and neutralization of their leaders as well as there had been a decrease in the index crime.”

The lifting of martial law was announced by Malacañang last Tuesday, December 10.
