08 Jul CHO To Conduct Expanded COVID-19 Testing In Cagayan de Oro
Mga higala! The City Health Office (CHO) is now eyeing to conduct “expanded targeted testing” which will cover the rest of barangays in Cagayan de Oro City!
These tests will comprise of rapid diagnostic tests (RDT) and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests on selected residents, with the help of the region’s Department of Health (DOH) office.
However, City Epidiomiologist Dr. Teodulfo Joselito Retuya said that “We’re not going to rush its implementation, it’s best to finalize all details so we can have accurate and reliable survey results.”
ICYDK, the CHO finished its serologic prevalence survey in Brgy. Carmen last June but did not reach the targeted 500 respondents.
The survey aimed to determine the level of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome- Coronavirus 2 (SARS-COV2) antibodies, in the said barangay’s dense population.
