In an article from Sunstar.com, one of the three suspected Maute members who was captured during a raid in Barangay Macasandig was discharged by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).

According to CIDG Officer Melgar Devaras, suspected Maute member Gazim Mantawazi Abdullah was released last Saturday, July 8, after investigations failed to connect him with the incident on the confiscated explosives from the rented apartment in Macasandig.

Deveras said that the CIDG released him since the department was not able to establish any connections of him with regards to the accusations. He also said that investigators found out that he does not hold any personal knowledge about the incident.

On the other hand, fiscals already brought the charges filed against the other two suspects Monaliza Solaiman Romato and Tahera Romato Taher to the court after the two days of inquest proceedings at Camp Evangelista ended last Friday, July 7.
