30 Apr City Gov’t To Buy Testing Machine To Help DOH-10 Conduct 100 COVID-19 Tests Per Day
Mga higala! The City Government of Cagayan de Oro will be acquiring a state-of-the-art CFX96 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction detection machine (Bio-Rad), to help the Department of Health (DOH) in Region 10 in conducting around 100 COVID-19 tests per day!
This is said to be similar to the equipment that’s being used right now in the Southern Philippines Medical Center’s (SPMC) coronavirus laboratory in Davao City.
According to a post by Cagayan de Oro City Philippines, the city will also buy testing kits needed for real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction tests, considered as the “gold standard of testing” due to the reliability of its results.
These will then be installed at the Tuberculosis Reference Center and DOH Regional Office in Barangay Carmen, which is now being converted into a COVID-19 testing facility.
