23 Jul City Council Approves P10 Minimum Fare For Motorelas in Cagayan de Oro
Mga higala! The City Council of Cagayan de Oro has approved the proposed increase in the minimum fare of motorelas— from P7 to P10!
ICYDK, motorelas have a capacity of 8-10 passengers but due to social distancing measures, they can now only cater to 4 passengers at a time, which significantly reduces a driver’s daily income.
However, this fare increase is only effective during the current community quarantine status caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The said increase is now just waiting to be signed by Mayor Oscar Moreno.
