04 Jan City Government Of CDO Released Route For The Translacion Of The Black Nazarene
It’s going to be a busy Tuesday next week as it would be a day of the “Translacion Of The Black Nazarene”.
Every year of January 9, thousands of devotees across Northern Mindanao travel to Cagayan de Oro City to witness and join the Translacion of the Black Nazarene.
Black Nazarene along with the Santo Niño is the most popular object of devotion here in the Philippines.
Devotees during the translacion or transfer tend to climb over each other to kiss, touch or rub towels to the image believing in the miracle it brings.
With the upcoming Translacion of the Black Nazarene, City Government of CDO released route for the Black Nazarene Procession.
Starting January 8, 2018, at 4 PM roads will temporarily close.
Starting from St. Augustine Metropolitan Cathedral to Bank of Cabadbaran.
Roads Closed:
*Capistrano St. (Cathedral)
*Rizal St. (Gaston Park)
*Dolores St. (Bank of Cabadbaran)
Traffic Enforcers will be present along the closed roads and railings will be put up to warn/discourage mobiles to not/pass through.
Roads will be closed as well along Claro M. Recto Avenue (Archdiocesan Shrine of the Black Nazarene) on January 8, 2018, at 4 pm.
Meanwhile, the route of the religious procession would commence on January 9, 2018, at 5:00 AM from St. Augustin Cathedral Church through Velez Street going to Claro M. Recto Avenue and will conclude at the Archdiocesan Shrine of the Black Nazarene.
