25 Sep City Health Office Celebrates 67th Founding Anniversary
Bannering the theme, “Challenge by Change, Empowered by Unity”, the City Health Office (CHO) of Cagayan de Oro City celebrated its 67th founding anniversary from September 18 to 22, 2017 with a series of events and activities.
In an article from Cagayan de Oro News Bulletin, the celebration started with a bloodletting activity and followed by the unveiling of the important personalities of the CHO who rendered their service to CdeO and its people.
CdeO Mayor Oscar “Oca” Moreno, in his message, praised Dr. Jose Rivera, the first ever city health officer, for his dedication to service amidst the difficulties that he went through during his tenure.
He also encouraged the current administration of Dr. Fe Bongcas to develop teamwork among her subordinates in running the CHO and in giving quality service to those who are in need of it.
Among those who witnessed the event is Dr. Rivera’s son, Mrs. Dulce R. Dawang, Vice Mayor Rainier Joaquin Uy, and City Councilors George Goking, Reuben Daba, Ian Mark Nacaya, Teodulfo Lao, Eric Salcedo, Maria Lourdes Gaane, Jay Roa Pascual, and Dr. Ignacio Moreno.
