The Cagayan de Oro City government plans to add more classrooms in the newly installed six-classroom building in Pigsag-an National High School.

The local government anticipates an increasing number of enrollees in the coming years which urged them to construct more classrooms for the students.

There are 181 children who are currently enrolled in the Pigsag-an high school. Due to the adverse learning environment, inaccessibility of the school and packed classrooms of the elementary school and barangay covered court, the school is experiencing a high dropout rate which leads to the decreasing number of students.

According to a study, many of the school children from Barangay Tuburan and Tumpagon are having a difficulty in going to school due to the remoteness.

This urged the city government to equip the school for a better learning environment to make the children endear studying.
