16 Dec Cocpo to Receive National Award for Excellent Performance on Anti-Illegal Drug campaign
Following the success of President Rodrigo Duterte’s campaign against illegal drugs in Cagayan de Oro City, Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) will be granted a national award.
According to Sun.Star, City police director Senior Superintendent Ronnie Francis Cariaga will receive the Philippine National Police (PNP) award on December 16, Friday in Manila for his excellent performance and achieve in the war against illegal drugs.
The city police chief will receive the award during the first founding anniversary of the PNP AIDG in Camp Rafael Crame, Quezon City Friday, December 16.
Senator Vicente Sotto III will grant the award to Cariaga which will be presented by PNP chief Ronald Dela Rosa and Anti-Illegal Drug Group (AIDG) Acting Director Senior Superintendent Albert Ignatius Fero.
Cocpo is considered “Best Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group-Highly Urbanized City Level” as they have surpassed other urban cities nationwide.
The Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) has apprehended 677 drug individuals and 6,000 drug suspect surrendered to “Oplan Tokhang,” based on the data recorded by the Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao from July to December 14, 2016.
