14 Aug COCPO To Regulate Drones During Higalaay Festival 2018

Mga higala! The Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) will regulate the usage of drones during street parades, floats, civic military parades, and other events that are open to the public in this year’s Higalaay Festival.
According to a report by Sunstar, COCPO Spokesperson Superintendent Mardy Hortillosa II stated that they will control or limit groups who will be allowed to fly drones during various events.
“Ang police man in-charge sa security so most likely kami ang maghatag og permit unya atong kontrolon ang paggamit sa drones during sa parade. Dili gyud tanan matugotan kay basin og magbangga na sa ibabaw.” -Hortillosa
Translation:
“The police will be in charge of security, so, we will probably be giving permits in order to control the use of drones during the parade. Not everyone will be allowed in order to avoid an aerial crash.”
As of now, various groups are already asking the police for the requirements so that they will be permitted to fly drones during core events, such as the civic-military parade and the fluvial procession.
Hortillosa also added that the security plans for Higalaay Festival 2018 are already in place and the police and military will be coordinating their security plans in order to make sure that the city and everyone are safe.
