02 Mar COCPO to resume ‘Oplan Tokhang’ with new strategies
The Cagayan De Oro Police Office (COCPO) is preparing to resume the anti-illegal drugs operations in the city known as “Oplan Tokhang” and employ new strategies according to a report from Sunstar last March 1, 2017.
In the report, a police disclosed the plan of the city police to review all the data they have on drug operations and that they are drafting new strategies including re-constituting the City Anti-Illegal Drug Task Force ( CAIDTF).
The police said that they are going to ensure that the operations will be carried out according to the mandate and guidelines of the President Rodrigo Duterte and the Philippine National Police (PNP).
On Feb 28, Duterte has announced the revival of the anti-drug operations following reports that drugs syndicates are resuming operations after Oplan Tokhang has been lifted.
Duterte tasked PNP Chief Roland Dela Rosa to tap new policemen to fight against the war on drugs.
